This is our first time making Gewürztraminer and we are happy to have found another gem from Dauenhauer Farms. Made with fruit from vines that are over 30-years old, this wine delivers interesting fruits and a round mouthfeel, while maintaining good acidity. This wine was fermented to dry using native yeasts, and aged a short six months in a stainless steel tank.
On the nose, this wine has honeydew melon, a touch of banana, and light acidity. On the palate. this wine is full and round, with the honeydew continuing and a nice through line of acidity. Unlike many old-world Gewürztraminers this wine is not meant age. It is ready now so drink up.
