We selected this vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills because it has non-grafted 30-year old vines. This vineyard has a great south-facing exposure and a slope from top to bottom resulting in an ideal mix of air movement and heat for slow ripening. This wine is made from the Wadenswil, Dijon 115, and Dijon 667 clones. We used native yeasts for fermentation and aged the wine in neutral French oak barrels.
This wine is elegant from start to finish. On the nose, there is strawberry, red cherry, and wet stone. Those flavors carry over to the palate and ride on a foundation of forest floor. This wine has a long and complex finish with medium acid and soft tannins.
