The soil on the site is primarily volcanic remnants, locally known as Nekia soil, with marine sedimentary overlay against basalt bedrock. This wine is made from the Pommard and Dijon 777 clones. The grapes were fermented using native yeasts and aged for ten months in French oak barrels (two neutral and one new).
This wine of the Cote d‘Or style, with fragrant red fruit on the nose and palate. It has a foundation of forest floor with a medium, but complex, finish. It has moderate alcohol, medium plus acids, and soft tannins.
